The Joy Of Growing My Therapy Team…

Bay Area Modern Mental Health Expands its Therapy Team to Offer More Help for Teens, Adults, and Couples with Anxiety, Depression, Postpartum Realted Struggles, and OCD.

I‘m excited to announce that Agata Baker, AMFT is joining the BAMT team, and Kylie and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome her. As always, my intention in growing and expanding the practice is to be able to provide high-quality, approachable, modern, and effective therapy to residents in the North Bay Area and beyond.

You can get to know more about Agata on our website, but here is a bit about her (in her own words):

“I grew up in Poland and I also traveled, lived, studied, and worked in different countries. I love being surrounded and exposed to new people, beliefs, worldviews, sounds, languages, traditions, and flavors. Professionally, I’ve spent over 10 years working in the high-paced corporate world, focused on customer service, training, and recruiting staff. When I moved to the United States, I decided to follow my dream career as a therapist and graduated with a Master of Counseling Psychology at the University of San Francisco. I believe in the bio-psycho-social model of mental and physical well-being and consider all aspects of our beings: not only how we think, how we behave, and how we feel but also how we move, what we eat, our mindset, and our connections in the community. I am passionate about embracing positive health behaviors, enhancing my connection to self and others, developing greater self-awareness, and increasing self-compassion. My style is holistic, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, Ecotherapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Mindfulness-Based treatments. When working with couples, I utilize my training in the Gottman Method to conduct a thorough assessment and provide comprehensive feedback, and a foundation for treatment. I am also a trained yoga and pranayama (breathwork) teacher.”
