    Women-Teens-Parents

After woking in private practice for 10 years in Sonoma County, I decided to build a “dream team” of therapists, and couldn’t be more proud of the work we’re doing at Bay Area Modern Therapy. Each and every therapist on my team is one I would refer my own children and loved ones to should they need help- and that was my litmus test for hiring!

When you reach out to schedule, It is my honor an pleasure to get you set up with a therapist who will best fit your needs.

I specialize in working with women and teenage girls struggling with anxiety, modern parents, and couples. I am highly trained in CBT, ACT, and Fairplay and am dedicated to changing the narrative around mental health inside and outside the therapy room!

Moms- Adults-Teens (Perinatal Mental Health Certified)

My specialty is perinatal mental health and supporting parents in the transition to and through parenthood. The phrase I hear most commonly in session is some variation of "I just want to feel like myself again," after battling the symptoms of depression, anxiety, birth trauma, grief, or loss. My clients and I often spend time cultivating communication, boundary setting, emotional regulation skills, while identifying and integrating their values, so they can build a life that feels good.

These skills segway well into another specialty area of mine: working with adolescents and their parents. With these clients, I'm often partnering with parents who desperately want to help their kids navigate social anxiety, neurodivergence, and perfectionism, but are still learning the skills themselves. Partnering with a therapist during this critical development period is often an essential support system, for both the child and the parent as they embark on a new season of parenthood.

Couples- Children- AduIts (Ecotherapy + ACT)

I grew up in Poland and I also traveled, lived, stIudied, and worked in different countries. I love being surrounded and exposed to new people, beliefs, worldviews, sounds, languages, traditions, and flavors.

I believe in the bio-psycho-social model of mental and physical well-being and consider all aspects of our beings: not only how we think, how we behave, and how we feel but also how we move, what we eat, our mindset, and our connections in the community. I am passionate about embracing positive health behaviors, enhancing connection to self and others, developing greater self-awareness, and increasing self-compassion.

My style is holistic, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), CBT, Ecotherapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and mindfulness-based treatments. When working with couples, I utilize my training in the Gottman Method to conduct a thorough assessment and provide comprehensive feedback, and a foundation for treatment. I am also a trained yoga and pranayama (breathwork) teacher.

Couples-Children-Adults (offers EMDR and Certified in Gottman Couples)

Before my professional title as a therapist, I am a mom of two young kids, a wife, and a caregiver. Life’s complexity isn’t lost on me— I live it every day. Balancing the chaos of daily life with the need for self-care and maintaining healthy relationships is a challenge I understand deeply. This personal journey fuels my passion for guiding others through their own complexities, whether it is in nurturing self-growth, repairing relationships, or navigating life’s hurdles.

Growing up in a bicultural household and having lived in different countries, I have experienced the richness and challenges of navigating diverse settings. This equipped me with a unique lens through which I view relationships and personal growth. It has taught me the importance of flexibility, understanding, and empathy in fostering connections, not just with others, but with ourselves.

In my practice, I meet you where you are. My approach is grounded in empathy and tailored to your unique experiences and needs. I specialize in trauma and relationship counseling, applying a range of techniques including Somatic practices, Mindfulness, EMDR, the Gottman Method and EFT to support your journey.

Embarking on therapy is your path to resilience, connection, and fulfillment. In our work together, we will build a life where you thrive, forging authentic connections and living your best.
